13) Special operating
conditions:
On water opeiation
is a real
pleasant
experience
-
usually.
However,
there
are dangers
to your
engine
you
won't experience
on land.
Some ofthese
dange$
are watet ingestion
on take-off
or landing
due to spray and
splash,
corrosion,
electrolysis,
and, wolst
of
all, unintentional
submersion.
Al
neariogs, cralkshaft
etc.,
are highly
susceptible to
corrosion.

air intake

carburetor
calibration

two kinds
of carburetor
icing,

due to water
in fuel:

of the fuel
system
and leads
to freezing
of fuel lires, filters

Effecrive
rcmedy is possible

preheating
