4.12) Engine on fire or fire in the engine compartment
Engine of fire In the event of fire or signs, e.g. heavy smoke:
Any shut-off of the fuel system for short periods or permanent has
to be entered by the pilot into the logbook starting date and dura-
tion of shut-off.
Step Procedure
1 Both electric fuel pumps and the main switched off.
2 The fuel valve has to be closed.
3 If the fire should extinguish it may be tried again to ac-
tuate the main fuel pumps and to start the engine (see
section Engine start).
If the fire starts anew the fuel system has to
be shut off immediatly.
