5.2.1 Removing panelling (and cleaning it)
For maintenance, it is necessary to remove the silencer hood, the boiler panelling and the insulating mouldings.
• Remove the silencer hood (Fig 5-1).
• Lift and remove the boiler panelling.
• Remove the holding clamps on both upper insulation mouldings (Fig 5-2). Remove both upper insulating mouldings.
Cleaning panels
The silencer hood and the boiler panels are made of easy-to-maintain plastic. Clean them only using soft cloth and a mild water
and soap cleaning solution. Aggressive cleaning agents with solvents can damage the plastic surface.
5.2.2 Checking the connections and conduits
• Check all gas and water-conducting components and connections for leakage and damage. Have a specialised heating agency
rectify the damages.
• Check all components of the flue gas system for leakage and damage. Recondition or change damaged parts.
• Check all electrical components, connections and conduits. Recondition or change damaged parts.
5.2.3 Checking and cleaning the condensate drain.
The connection and leakage line of the condensate drain must be free from impurities.
• Open the combustion chamber and lift up the combustion chamber insert (see section 5.2.4).
• Check that the condensate drain is free from blockages and clean if necessary.
• Loosen the condensate drain hose from the wastewater connection.
• Check that the wastewater connection and the condensate drain hose are clean; clean them if necessary.
• Insert the condensate drain hose in the wastewater connection. Check the correct path of the condensate drain section
(slight slope to the drainage pipeline, no siphon formation).
• Check the connection and drain section for leakage.
