Stalling, rolling backwards or improperly dismounting while climbing a hill.
Could result in ATV overturning.
Use proper gear and maintain steady speed when climbing a hill.
If you lose all forward speed:
Keep weight uphill.
Apply brakes.
Lock parking brake, after you are stopped.
If you begin rolling backwards:
Keep weight uphill.
Never apply the rear brake while rolling backwards.
Apply the front brake.
When fully stopped, apply rear brake as well, and then lock the parking brake. Dismount on
uphill side or to a side if pointed straight uphill. Turn the ATV around and remount, following
the procedure described in the owner’s manual.
DRIVING OVER OBSTACLES
If you come to an obstacle that you cannot avoid, you may be able to cross over it by using
the following procedure.
1. If the obstacle is in front of you, approach at walking speed.
2. Rise up slightly on the footrests.
3. Pull up on the handlebar and apply a little throttle as the front wheels reach the obstacle.
4. Lean forward and release the throttle after the front wheels are over the obstacle.
Remember that some obstacles are too high for your ATV or for your abilities. If you are not
sure that you can safely cross over an obstacle, back up and ride around the obstacle.
