ADJUSTMENT OF THROTTLE LEVER
To adjust the throttle lever free distance:
1. Loosen the nut (a)
2. Turn the adjuster (b) in or out to obtain the correct play.
3. Tighten the nut (a).
4. Recheck the throttle lever free distance. Readjust it if it is not within the correct limits.
Operating the vehicle with an inadequate throttle lever free distance could be hazardous.
Inadequate throttle lever free distance could cause engine speed to rise suddenly
when you turn the handlebars. This can lead the rider to lose control.
Adjust the throttle lever free distance so that engine idle speed does not rise due to
handlebar movement.
