40. Place the corresponding labyrinth seal into the external radial bearing housing cover
following these steps:
i. Lubricate the outside ring of the labyrinth seal with the lubricant provided
by the manufacturer (grease is not recommended) or with P-80 rubber
lubricant emulsion.
ii. Lubricate the inside diameter of the external radial bearing housing cover.
iii. With the help of an arbor press, insert the labyrinth seal in the external
radial bearing housing cover.
When inserting the labyrinth seal, make sure that it is inserted in the right
direction, since labyrinth seals have a correct direction for insertion.
41. Insert the external radial bearing housing cover over the shaft from the coupling side until it
reaches the radial bearing housing.
