StartingandDriving
Basicconditionsofusagefortheintelligentstart/stopsystem:
•Thedriverdoorhasbeenclosed.
•Thedriverhasfastenedtheseatbelt.
•Theenginehoodhasbeenclosed.
•Thevehicletravelsataspeedofabove10km/hfromthelast
stop.
Note:Theenginehasbeenshutdownbeforethevehicle
isabouttoenterinstationarystate.However,thefull
functionsofbrakeboostersystemandpowersteering
systemstillcanbeguaranteed.
Caution
Whendrivingacrosswater,thedrivershouldalwayskeep
theintelligentstart/stopsysteminactivated.
Shutdownandstartupofengine
Vehicleswithautomatictransmission
Pleaseconductafullbrakingtothevehicle;afterthevehicle
isstationary,keepdepressingthebrakepedaltoshutdown
theengine(enginestopphase).Meanwhile,the“Intelligent
Start/StopSystemIndicatorLamp(green)”onthe
informationcenteroftheinstrumentclusterilluminates.
Oncethebrakepedalisreleased,theenginewillbestarted
again.Iftheparkingassistfunctionisactivated,theenginewill
re-startedonlywhentheacceleratorpedalisdepressed.The
indicatorlampgoesout.
Additionalinformationaboutthevehiclewithautomatic
transmission
•OnlywhentheshiftleverisinDpositionwillenginebeshut
down.
•IftheshiftleverismovedoutoftheDpositionduringthe
enginestopphase,theenginewillbestartedagain.
•Regardlessofwhethertheengineisshutdownornot,you
canreduceorincreasethebrakingforceatyourown.For
stop-and-godrivingorcornering,ifthebrakeisslightly
depressed,theenginewillnotstopwhilethevehicleis
stationary.Oncethebrakepedalisdepressedhard,the
enginewillbeshutdownimmediately.
