Caution
Whentheengineisshutdown,pleasedepressthebrake
pedaltoavoidvehicleslip.Iftheengineintelligentstart/stop
systemswitch
ontheoorconsoleispressedduringthe
enginestopphase,theenginewillgetstartedautomatically.
Ifthedriverdoorisopenedorthedriverseatbeltis
unfastened,theenginewillnotgetstartedautomatically;
tostarttheengine,pleasemovetheshiftlevertoPorN
position,andthenstarttheenginewiththestartbuttonorkey.
Instructions
Normalintelligentstart/stopactionmaybeinterrupteddueto
differentsystemconditions.
Theengineisnotshutdown
Beforeandduringtheenginestop,thesystemwillcheck
whethertheparticularconditionshavebeenmet.Underanyof
thefollowingcircumstances,theenginewillnotbeshutdown:
•Theenginehasnotyetreachedtheminimumtemperatureat
whichthestart/stopsystemcanoperate.
•Thewindshieldisbeingdefrosted.
•Thebatterychargingstatusistoolow.
•Afterthereplacementorreconnectionofthebattery,the
vehicleisnotlockedformorethan4h.
•TheshiftleverisnotintheDposition.
•Theslopeisverysteep.
•Thealtitudeisveryhigh.
•Thebrakingvacuumisinsufcient.
•TheengineMIL/ESPMILilluminate.
Whenthestart/stopconditionsarenotmet,the“Intelligent
Start/StopSystemIndicatorLamp(white)”
illuminates.
Theenginegetsstartedagainautomatically
Duringtheenginestopphase,underanyofthefollowing
circumstances,thenormalstart/stopoperationwillbe
