Donotremovetheexpansiontankcapwhilethe
systemishot,forescapedwatervapororhot
coolantmaycauseinjury.Ifyouhavetoaddcoolant
whentheengineishot,pleasewaitfor10minutes,
coverathickclothontheexpansiontankcap,slowly
rotatethecoolantreservoircapcounterclockwiseto
releasethepressureinsidethecoolantreservoir,
andthenremovethereservoircap.
Besuretocheckthecoolantlevelwhenthevehicleisparkedon
aatgroundandtheengineisnotrunning(incoldstate).
Theuidlevelisvisibleontheexpansiontank,andthenormal
levelshouldbebetweenthe"MAX"(themaximumamount)and
"MIN"(theminimumamount)marks.
Iftheleveldropstothe"MIN"mark,cleantheareaaround
thecoolantreservoircapandrotatethereservoircap
counterclockwisetoremoveit.Rellthespeciedcoolanttothe
levelbetween"MAX"(themaximumamount)and"MIN"(the
minimumamount).Replacethereservoircap.
Note:Thecoolantmayexpandwhichitbecomeshot,sothe
liquidlevelmaybehigherthanthelevelmark.
Note:Excessiverellmaycausethecoolantoverow
whentheenginetemperaturerises,whichunderminesthe
coolingeffect.Simplyrelltheuidtotheindicatedlevel
whentheengineiscool.

Precautionsincoldweather
Toreducethepossibleproblemscausedbytheuseofcoolant
incoldweather,thefollowingrecommendationsshouldbetaken
intoconsideration:
Thestandardfreezingpointofcoolantusedinthevehicleis
-35(themixtureratioofcoolantandwateris1:1),therefore
itisrequiredtoparkthevehicleinanareathatcanmaintain
thecoolanttemperatureabove-35.
Whenthevehicleisusedinanextremelycoldareawhere
thetemperatureislowerthan-35,asuitableproportion
ofcoolantbasedonthelocaltemperatureisrecommended.
(RefractometerT10007canbeusedtodetectthefreezing
pointofcoolant.)
