● DO NOT
operatetheradiowithoutaproperantennaattached,asthismaydamagetheradioandmayalsocause
youtoexceedFCCRFexposurelimits.Aproperantennaistheantennasuppliedwith
thisradiobythemanufactureoranantennaspecificallyauthorizedbythemanufacturerforusewiththisradio.
● DO NOT
transmitformorethan50%oftotalradiousetime("50%dutycycle").
Transmittingmorethan50%ofthetimecancauseFCCRFexposurecompliancerequirementstobeexceeded.Theradio
istransmittingwhenthe"TXindicator"lightsred.Youcancausetheradiototransmitbypressingthe"PTT"switch.
● ALWAYS
useSANCONauthorizedaccessories(antennas,batteries,beltclips,speaker/mics,etc).Useofunauthorized
accessoriescancausetheFCCRFexposurecompliancerequirementstobeexceeded.Body-wornoperationsarerestricted
tobelt-clips,holstersorsimilaraccessoriesthathavenometalliccomponentintheassemblyandthatprovideatleast
1.5cmseparationbetweenthedevice,includingitsantenna,andtheuser'sbody.Toprovidetherecipientsofyour
transmissionthebestsoundquality,holdtheantennaatleast5cm(2inches)frommouth,andslightlyofftooneside.
TheinformationlistedaboveprovidestheuserwiththeinformationneededtomakehimorherawareofRFexposure,and
whattodotoassurethatthisradiooperateswithintheFCCRFexposurelimitsofthisradio.
Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility
Duringtransmissions,yourSANCONradiogeneratesRFenergythatcanpossiblycauseinferencewithotherdevicesor
systems.Toavoidsuchinterference.TurnofftheradioinAreswheresignsarepostedtodoso.DONOToperatethe
transmitterinareasthataresensitivetoelectromagneticradiationsuchashospitals,aircraft,andblastingsites.
ThisdevicecomplieswithPart95oftheFCCrules.Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:
(1)Thisdevicemaynotcauseharmfulinterference,and
(2)Thisdevicemustexceptanyinterferencereceived,includinginterferencethatmaycauseundesiredoperation
