NOTE
• This function is available only on indoor units that support this
mode.
• This function does not work when multiple indoor units are
operating simultaneously.
– If an indoor unit is operating (in Cool, Dry, AI Comfort or Purify
mode), performing Freeze Wash function on a different indoor
unit does not work.
Turn off all other indoor units that are operating before
running Freeze Wash function.
– If Freeze Wash function is running on one indoor unit and a
different indoor unit is operated (in Cool, Dry, AI Comfort or
Purify mode), Freeze Wash mode turns off.
• Freeze Wash function may not work if the temperature is
excessively high or the humidity level is excessively low (e.g. a
relative humidity over 80%).
• Freeze Wash function operates (the outdoor unit operates) using
the process of freezing → thawing → drying the indoor unit heat
exchanger for 30 to 80 minutes, which depends on the indoor
temperature and humidity levels.
• To use a different mode when Freeze Wash function is in use, press
the button to stop the Freeze Wash function operation.
• Before Freeze Wash function turns off, the airflow blades close
and a drying step is performed.
• When the air conditioner is operating, cracking or similar noises
may sound from the indoor unit, due to temperature differences.
• When the air conditioner is operating, the area around the indoor
unit may appear cloudy or dew may form around the unit, if the
humidity level in the room is high.
• When the air conditioner is operating, frost may form on the
surface of the outdoor unit valve, in which case water may drip
from the surface.
• It is recommended to use Freeze Wash function three to four
times a year. Freeze Wash function may not be able to wash away
stubborn stains caused by long-term use of the air conditioner. It
is recommended to use this mode once prior to long-term storage
before and after summer.
• Freezing step may not work if the indoor or outdoor temperature
is high or the place where the outdoor unit is installed has not
been ventilated well. Before using this mode, check that the
louvre (window) in the place where the outdoor unit is installed is
open.
