Bluetooth Connection
About Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a short-range communications technology that
allows you to connect wirelessly to a number of Bluetooth
devices, such as headsets and hands-free car kits, and
Bluetooth-enabled handhelds, computers, printers, and
wireless devices. The Bluetooth communication range is
usually up to approximately 30 feet.
Turning Bluetooth On and Off
To turn Bluetooth on:
1. From the Home screen, tap
Apps
➔
Settings
➔
Bluetooth
.
2. In a single motion touch and slide the
Bluetooth
slider
to the right to turn it on.
The slider color indicates the activation status. When
active,
displays in the Status area.
To turn Bluetooth off:
1. From the Home screen, tap
Apps
➔
Settings
➔
Bluetooth
.
2. In a single motion touch and slide the
Bluetooth
slider
to the left to turn it off.
Note:
Bluetooth must be enabled prior to use.
Scanning for Devices
This option allows you to scan for active Bluetooth devices so
you can pair with them.
1. From the Home screen, tap
Apps
➔
Settings
➔
Bluetooth
.
2. From the bottom of the Bluetooth settings page, tap
Scan
to search for visible external Bluetooth-
compatible devices such as headsets, devices,
printers, and computers.
Important!
Some Bluetooth devices are secured and require a
PIN number to confirm and pair with them.
3. Enter a PIN to pair with the device, if one is required,
and tap
OK
.
Reviewing Received Files
1. Verify Bluetooth is active.
2. From the Bluetooth settings page, tap
Menu
and
then tap
Received files
.
