Before Using XM Satellite Radio
What is XM satellite Radio?
XM SatelliteRadiois the satelliteradio servicewith millionsof listenersacross the U.S., broadcastinglivedaily.
XM's channellineup includesmerethan 160 digitalchannelsof choice from coastto coast: 68 commercial-
freemusicchannels,featuringhiphop to opera,classicalto country, bluegrassto blues; 33 channelsof
premiersports, talk,comedy, children's and entertainmentprogramming;and more than 20 channelsof the
traffic and weather informationfor majormetropolitanareasnationwide.
[_ The XM Satellite Radio service is only available in the 48 contiguous United States (not
available in Alaska and Hawaii).
_ The XM Antenna and monthly subscription are sold separately. For details, see the XM
Satellite Radio website at "http://www.xmradio.com"
_ To ensure optimal reception of XM's satellite signal, the XM Antenna should be placed at
or near a southerly facing window with nothing obstructing its path to the sky. You can
mount it indoors or outdoors.
Listening to XM Satellite Radio
1. Press the FUNCTION button and select the XM band.
• Each time the FUNCTION button is pressed, the band
switches between <FM> -_ <XM>
2. Press the Cursor ,,_,1_.button to select the channel, press
the Cursor A,'V button to select the category.
• You can select the channel directly by pressing the
number buttons(1 to 255).

[_ If "CHECK ANTENNA" appears in the display, the XM Antenna may not be connected to
the XM Antenna Jack on the rear of this unit properly.
When the selected channel is not available, "OH---" is displayed.
