Insert the battery compartment into the vertical grip and
then close the battery chamber locking lever as shown in the
illustration.

Open the electrical connection cover.

Flip down the battery compartment locking lever and turn
it as shown in the illustration, and then remove the battery
compartment.

Insert a battery into the battery compartment.
• Insert the battery with the gold-colored contacts facing up as shown in the
illustration.
