Database Management
The customer system database is stored in super capacitor-backed RAM on the MCP2 itself.
The database can be saved to the SmartMedia card using MMC 815 (Customer Database Copy),
where it is stored as a single file. This save can be performed manually or the system can be
programmed to save the database automatically at a designated time every day. Using PCMMC,
the database can be downloaded from the system and stored on the PC or it can be uploaded
from the PC to the system. The database uploaded from PCMMC is not stored in the SmartMe-
dia card but is loaded directly into active memory.
