Excessive vibration or drafts could also be the reason; access the menu to adapt the balance to the particular weighing environment. Ensure the draft shield is completely closed. Check for any foreign object caught between the pan and the balance housing and remove it. Make sure that the port for the below-balance weighing attachment is covered by fastening the closing plate. Also, consider if the sample has a stable weight, because it may absorb moisture or evaporate.
