  If you can't add a new user code to your Schlage door lock, it could be due to several reasons: * You didn't press '1' after entering programming mode. * You've already reached the maximum of 30 user codes. If this is the case, delete an existing user code before adding a new one. * The second user code entry didn't match the first. * The new user code matches the first 4-6 digits of the existing programming code.

Why doesn't pressing Outside Schlage button relock the deadbolt on Schlage Door locks?

  If the outside Schlage button is pressed but the deadbolt does not relock, the Lock & Leave feature may not be enabled. If you don't want to enable Lock & Leave, enter a valid user code to lock the door.

Why is the bolt not operating smoothly on Schlage ALLEGION BE469?

  If the bolt on your Schlage door lock was operating smoothly but is now not, the bolt may have become soiled and requires cleaning with mild detergent and warm water. Alternatively, the strike may have become worn, in which case you should flip the strike over for continued smooth operation.
