Turn the printer over, and make sure that the projection of the partition plate L and partition plate R (7)
are fit properly into the hole of the paper holder (the arrow shown in Figure 14-5).

Refer to “18. SPECIFICATIONS” and “20. MS SETTINGS LIST, and set MS4-4 (Paper Width (8)
Selection) to 58 mm.
NOTE
Set the paper width before using the printer for the first time. DO NOT change the
paper width after starting to use the printer. Doing so may damage the printer.
DO NOT push or pull the tension roller strongly.
When the 58 mm width thermal paper is used, rubber crumbs of the platen may be
generated because the platen contacts with the thermal head. Remove rubber crumbs
regularly to maintain printing quality.
