Function Description:

- Mesh Intercom: This is a key feature, offering instant and effortless communication without the need for pre-grouping. It supports both Open Mesh and Group Mesh.
- Open Mesh: Allows users to freely communicate with a virtually unlimited number of users within a selected channel (1-9). The working distance between each Tufftalk M in Open Mesh can be up to 1.1 km (0.7 miles) in open terrain, extendable up to 4.4 km (2.8 miles) with a minimum of 6 users. Up to 6 users can talk simultaneously. Users can change channels to avoid interference.
- Group Mesh: A closed group intercom conversation that allows users to leave, join, or rejoin without pairing each headset. It supports up to 24 users in each private group, with up to 6 users talking simultaneously. Group Mesh is created through a "Mesh Grouping" process.
- Toggling Open Mesh/Group Mesh: Users can switch between Open Mesh and Group Mesh without resetting the Mesh, preserving network connection information.
- Reset Mesh: Resets the Mesh to Open Mesh (default: channel 1) and deletes stored Mesh Network information.
- Bluetooth Intercom: Enables two-way and multi-way conference-call-style conversations with up to three other Sena headsets.
- Two-Way Intercom: Initiate conversations with first, second, or third intercom friends by tapping the Center Button.
- Multi-Way Intercom (Three-Way and Four-Way): Allows conference calls with multiple intercom friends. Mobile phone connection is temporarily disconnected during multi-way intercom but reestablishes afterward.

- Speed Dialing: Quickly make calls using a voice speed dial menu with up to three assigned speed dial numbers, plus last number redial.

- Function Priority: The headset prioritizes functions in the following order (highest to lowest): Mobile phone, Mesh Intercom / Bluetooth Intercom, Music sharing via Bluetooth stereo, FM radio, Bluetooth stereo music. Lower priority functions are interrupted by higher priority ones.
- Configuration Setting: Access a configuration menu by holding the Center Button for 10 seconds to adjust settings like Phone Pairing, Delete All Pairings, Factory Reset, and Exit Configuration.
- Software Configuration Setting: Customize headset settings via the Sena Device Manager (for PC/Apple computers) or the Sena Utility App (for Android/iOS mobile phones). Maintenance Features:
- Charging: Charge the headset using the supplied USB power & data cable connected to a computer's USB port or a USB wall charger. Any 3rd party USB charger approved by FCC, CE, or IC can be used.
- Checking Battery Level: When powering on, the red LED flashes indicate battery level (4 flashes: High, 3 flashes: Medium, 2 flashes: Low).
- Volume Adjustment: Volume levels are maintained independently for each audio source, even after rebooting.
- Muting the Microphone: Tap the Center Button and (-) Button to mute/unmute the microphone (works only when Bluetooth Intercom or Mesh Intercom is active). Mute setting returns to default (unmute) after powering off.
- Replacing Ear Pads: Ear pads can be removed and replaced by hand.
- Replacing Hard Hat Adapters/Rubber Pads: If Type A Hard Hat Adapters don't fit or rubber pads fray, they can be replaced with Type B Hard Hat Adapters and new rubber pads by loosening/tightening screws.

- Troubleshooting:
- Fault Reset: Reset the headset by pushing the pin-hole reset button located below the Center Button if it's not working properly.
