4.1 Hydraulic System Basic Information
4.1.1 General
Hydraulics is a topic in applied science and engineering dealing with the mechanical
properties of liquids. Fluid mechanics provides the theoretical foundation for hydrau-
lics, which focuses on the engineering uses of uid properties. These fundamentals
of hydraulics apply to SEPSON winches.
Note
You cannot obtain maximum oil pressure and maximum oil ow at the same
time. This means that maximum pulling force and maximum rope speed
cannot occur at the same time.
