6.5 Wire rope
A damaged or worn wire rope must be replaced.
WARNING
The design of the winch does not allow unlimited use of the wire rope. For ropes
with 6 or 8 strands the most common wear is supercial thread breakage. Internal
thread breakage is most common for rotation-resistant ropes, and this cannot be
seen from the outside.
