4.1.4 Power Supply
The Sepson hydraulic driven winches are designed to be supplied with hydraulic oil
at a pressure of 160 - 250 bar and with and oil ow of 50 - 120 litres per minute.
• The oil pressure and the ow must not exceed the maximum indicated values
in the data sheets for the winch. An increase in pressure or ow will increase
the power and might damage the winch.
• The oil ow must not be below 30 litres per minute. At a lower ow, the winch
will not operate properly.
• If a load sensing hydraulic system is used contact Sepson for advice on choice
of control valve.
• The hydraulic oil must be of good quality and clean.
• The oil tank must have a capacity adequate for the conditions under which the
winch is being used. The ambient temperature is of signicant importance and
should determine the volume of the tank’s capacity
