CUSTOM SWEEPS
About Custom sweeps
The Ve432 allows you to define a large variety of different sweeps (Linear,
Logarithmic, T
N
, Pulse, Random, Compound). You may however need to design a
special sweep that is not pre-determined by the VE432. The CUSTOM sweep option
will allow you to do so.
A CUSTOM sweep is defined dot by dot (2000 dots per second). Each dot represents
the value of the sweep amplitude at 500 micro-second intervals. The amplitude value
must lie between -1 (- 100 % amplitude) and +1 (+100 % amplitude).
You have to define the shape of the CUSTOM sweep with a tool of your own, and
then create an ASCII, DOS- or UNIX-format file containing the samples required by
the VE432.
Comments are allowed and begin with a #.
The sweep should be defined with 2000 samples per second, one sample per line.
Each sample should be a floating value in ASCII format, scaled between -1 and +1.
