Maximum pointer
To facilitate the comparison of different gas concentrations, the
maximum value is displayed by a flashing

• this remains in the LCD display
(item 2) for about 4 minutes unless
updated by a higher concentration
• pressing the zoom button makes
the maximum pointer disappear

Heavy gas
• a negative sign in the measuring-
value display indicates a mixture
of light and heavy gas in which the
heavy gas (e.g. propane C

or
carbon dioxide CO

)
predominates.
• if it is carbon dioxide, we
recommend the use of a CO

filter (accessories) to suppress
this heavy-gas component

Oxygen concentration
In order to guarantee electrical safety the detectors may not be used
in an oxygen concentration exceeding 21 vol.%.
An oxygen deficiency may lead to deviations from the correct reading.
At oxygen concentrations beteween 20.9 vol.% and 5 vol.% this
deviation is less than 5 %.
