Turn off AC power and get
the set restarted.
Is there 14MHz oscillation at pins
(37) and (38) of IC2001?
No power is
supplied (PC5V).
The REC key does
not function. All the
other keys
function.
Is the cassette
tape without erase
protection tag?
Check the PC12V
line and PC23V
line.
Replace IC2001.
Is PC5V
available?
Check
Q9101.
No recording can
be made on
cassette tape
without the tag.
Does the REC TIP
switch function?
Replace the REC
TIP switch.
Replace IC2001.
The unit stops 3
seconds after
loading.
The unit stops 5
seconds after
loading.
The pinch roller
fails to contact the
capstan during
loading.
The FF or REW
key does not
function.
The EJECT key
alone functions.
Is there the
H.SW.P. output
signal at pin (23)
of IC2001?
Is there the reel
