How to troubleshoot no or distorted audio in Shure Microflex?
    • S
      Susan PierceJul 27, 2025
If you're experiencing no or distorted audio with your Shure Microphone system, several factors could be the cause. First, check the cables to ensure they are properly connected. Confirm that the transmitters are powered on and the channels are un-muted. Use the MXW control software to check the input meters on the Monitor tab, and attenuate if the channel is clipping. Also, examine the output meters on the Audio Network Interface (ANI) front panel and in the ANI control software, using headphones to listen to the audio from the ANI, attenuating if necessary. Ensure the output level of the ANI matches the input of the connected equipment. Finally, verify that APT is not performing a spectrum scan.

If RF interference is causing audio drop-outs in your Shure Microphone system, and the audio is intermittent, you can perform a Spectrum Scan to monitor RF interference. Additionally, try decreasing the channel count to see if the system is overloading the RF spectrum.

What to do if I can't associate a component to a Group in Shure Microflex?
    • J
      jwilliamsAug 6, 2025
If you cannot associate a component to a Group within your Shure Microphone system, and the device drop-down isn't displaying the desired component in the Group row on the Configuration tab, start by checking that all devices are powered on and connected to the same network and subnet. Then, open the Utility tab of the MXW Control Software and un-check the Configuration Filter to display all MXW devices on the network. If the device shows up as "OTHER", it is part of another Configuration; un-associate it by selecting 'none' from the Group row in that other Configuration. As a last resort, perform a factory reset on the device to clear any existing association.
