uring purposes.
Fieldbus and Ethernet interfaces with OPC-UA and MQTT provide data preprocessed in
“dual talk” (edge computing) for the controller and for cloud computing. In addition, the
SIM can be integrated into a SICK CAN sensor network.
Thanks to the high-performance multi-core processor and a highly synchronous FPGA
I/O module, the SIM2000 can be used for fast image/sensor data processing and
handling of input and output signals in real time.
The SICK AppSpace open software platforms enable tailor-made application programs
to be developed for demanding applications.
The HMI and data visualization features can be provided on any browser-enabled
notebook, PC, or tablet. The app is created using the SICK AppStudio SDKs and - when
using HALCON - using HDevelop from MVTec.
