The wavelengths given in the table are the filter response at > 50% filter transmission. The
filter tolerance is +/- 10 nm.
9.1.3 High-resolution Rows
The Ranger E55 is equipped with a single high-resolution row with 3072 pixels. The pixels
on this row has the same height – 9.5 µm– as the normal pixels but only half the width.
This row is addressed by the row index 512.
The ColorRanger E55 has eight additional high-resolution rows. Three of them are covered
with RGB-filters, giving high-resolution color capability. One high-resolution row is covered
by an IR block filter.
The pixels on the color filtered high-resolution rows have double the height – 20 µm –
compared with the normal sensor rows, and the pixel distance (pitch) between the rows is
~4 times the distance of the normal rows (42 µm). These rows are addressed by even row
indexes 514-528.
The ColorRanger E40 and E50 have the same high-resolution color rows (RGB) as the
ColorRanger E55, but with limited pixel resolution. Only every other pixel are used by these
models.
Between the standard sensor region and the high-resolution regions there are regions that
are not used. These are displayed as black areas when viewing the high-resolution rows in
Image mode to achieve an image with correct aspect ratio.
9.1.4 Color response
The M12 sensor and color filter response curves are shown in the following figure. The
color filters are combined with an IR-blocking filter so that second order filter peaks do not
transmit any light.
