Before a patient uses the bed a risk assessment must be performed on a patient by
patient basis. The risk assessment should include, but is not limited to:
• Entrapment.
• Fallingoutofthebed.
• Children(andsmalladults).
• Patientswithlearningdifficulties.
• Unauthorisedpeople.
