4.4 General Warnings
Warning
• Thebedistobeinstalledandputintoserviceinaccordancewiththe
information provided in these instructions for use.
• Thebedistypicallynotsuitableforchilduse,ifitistobeused
for child occupancy ensure a risk assessment has been undertaken
taking into account the proportions of the child and dimensions of
the bed frame.
• Thebedisnotsuitableforoccupantswhoarelessthan146cmin
length-IfindoubtpleasecontactyourproviderorSidhilLtd.
for further advice.
• Misusedelectricalequipmentcanbehazardous.
• Accessoriesthathavenotbeenapprovedordesignedforusewith
the bed are not be used.
• Modificationofthebedframeisnotallowedwithoutthepermission
ofSidhilLtd.–Ahazardcouldbeintroduced.
• Electricallyoperatedbedsshallnotbeusedinthepresenceof
flammablegassesorusedinoxygenrichenvironments–Risk
of explosion / fire.
• Bedfunctionsmustbelockedoutifthereisanydoubtaboutthe
ability of the patient to operate the bed safely.
• Ifchildren,adultswithlearningdifficultiesorevenpetsposea
potential risk of intentional or unintentional tampering with the bed
its suitability for use is to be considered during the initial patient /
product risk assessment.
• Themaximumloadsshowninsection4.3areforthebedtobe
occupied by one individual only. The bed is not designed to
take the additional weight of individuals sitting on the side of
the bed. Additional weight could damage components or cause the
bed to become unstable.
• Wirelesscommunicationsequipmentsuchaswirelesshome
network devices, mobile phones, cordless telephones including
theirbasestationsandwalkie-talkiescouldallaffecttheelectrical
operationofthebedframe–separationdistancesmustbe
considered. If the bed or any alternative equipment is found to be
operating abnormally mitigation measures are to be taken, such as
the separation distances being increased and / or the products
beingre-orientated.
