• QUALIFIED PERSONNEL
within the meaning of these operating instructions or the warning information on the product
itself, are persons who are entrusted with installation, assembly, commissioning and operation
of the product and who avail of qualifications corresponding to their activities, e.g.:
1. training or instruction or authorization to activate and deactivate, to earth and to mark circuits
and equipment in accordance with the standards of safety engineering.
2. training or instruction in accordance with the standards of safety engineering in the care and
use of suitable safety equipment.
3. training in First Aid

V DANGER
indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious
injury.

V WARNING
indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious
injury.

V CAUTION
used with the safety alert symbol indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in minor or moderata injury.
• CAUTION
used without the safety alert symbol indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, may result in property demage.
• NOTICE
NOTICE used without the safety alert symbol indicates a potentially situation which, if not avoided,
may result in an undesireable result or state.

also not take into account every conceivable installation, operation or maintenance circumstances.
You can consult your local Siemens branch if you should require further information or if particular problem
occur that are not dealt with in adequate detail in the operating instructions.
