Activating/deactivating advisory tones
Your handset uses various advisory tones to tell you about different activities and
statuses.
u Key click: every key press is confirmed.
u Confirmation tone (ascending tone sequence): at the end of an entry/setting
and when an SMS or a new entry arrives in the calls list
u Error tone (descending tone sequence): when you make an incorrect entry
u Menu end tone: when scrolling to the end of a menu
You cannot deactivate the confirmation tone for placing the handset in the base
station.

Advisory Tones
Select and press
§OK§ ( =on).
a Press and hold (idle status).
Setting the battery low tone
The battery low tone advises that the batteries need to be charged. You can acti-
vate it, deactivate it or decide whether or not it should sound during a call.
t Briefly press the control key at the top.

§OK§ ( =on).

Restoring the handset default settings
Each individual handset setting is reset, in particular the language, display, volume,
ringers and alarm clock settings (
£ Page 91). The redial list is cleared.
This will not affect entries in the directory, calls list or SMS lists, or the handset's reg-
istration to the base station.
