the active field distributors AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8.
In conjunction with 2 FDC 157 couplers, the field distributors AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8
enable operation of a

segment:
● Up to 8 field distributors when using AFD4 / AFD4 (FM) / AFD8 only
● Up to 5 field distributors with mixed use of at least one AFDiS and other AFD4 / AFD4
(FM) / AFD8 field distributors
The total number of field devices in a segment is 31 devices and it is limited by a maximum
of 60 mA per spur line.
