Saving the changes in the configuration
Note
Changes made to the configuration of the ERPC symbols are saved permanently only after
closing the properties dialog with "OK" and saving the STEP 7 project.
The next steps
This completes the STEP 7 configuration for cyclic and spontaneous reading and writing of
data for ERPC communication. The configuration data still needs to be downloaded to the
CP (see below).
To be able to use the logical trigger, you still need to set up and configure the blocks
described below before downloading the configuration data.
6.3.4 Configuration of FB56
Availability of FB56 and the configuration data block "CONF_DB"
To be able use the logical trigger, you require a function block FB56 "LogTrig" in STEP 7.
You will find FB56 in STEP 7 in the block library "SIMATIC_NET_CP". You will need to
program the FB56 call in the user program of the CPU.
You will also need to create a data block (DB) in STEP 7 for the configuration data of the
logical trigger and specify this in the call parameters of FB56. FB56 accesses CONF_DB.
CONF_DB has no further significance for the user program.

Downloading the STEP 7 configuration
Downloading the STEP 7 configuration is not dependent on the configuration of the module
access protection of the CP.
