4.8 Installing the Hardware Support Package in the TIA Portal
This section provides information on how to install the Hardware Support Package (HSP) of
the Ready4Linux in STEP 7. This is necessary so that you can work with the
Software Controller in STEP 7.
Requirements
● You have installed STEP 7.
● The HSP "HSP_V15_1_0287_001_S71500_CPU150XS_2.7.isp15_1" is available.
Procedure
1. Start STEP 7 as administrator.
2. In STEP 7, click the "Support Packages" entry in the "Tools" menu bar.
The "Detailed information" dialog opens. A table lists all support packages from the
directory that you selected as the storage location for support packages in the settings.
3. Click the "Add from file system" button.
4. Select the file "HSP_V15_1_0287_001_S71500_CPU150XS_2.7.isp15_1".
5. Select the support package and click on "Install".
6. Exit STEP 7 and restart it.
Result
After the successful installation, the CPU 1505SP is now available in the device catalog in
STEP 7, as well as all other functions such as configuration, loading or online connection.
