10.6 Thread sizes and tightening torques for fastening bolts
The general tolerance for the tightening torque is 10%. The tightening torque is based on a
friction coe󹪟cient of μ=0.14.

10.7 Inspection of the motor
Check the motor in accordance with the criteria set out in Speci󹪝c safety instructions (Page 25).
Touch up damaged paintwork carefully.
10.8 Servicing the brake
Note
When using a safe holding brake (LS brake), for maintenance, carefully comply with BA
2332‑Geared motor with holding brake for safety-related applications.
10.8.1 Wear of spring-operated brakes
The friction lining and the mechanical components of the brake are subject to wear due to their
inherent function. For safe and fault-free operation, brakes must be checked, adjusted or
replaced at regular intervals.
The important in󹪞uencing factors have to be quanti󹪝ed in order to calculate the service life
of the rotor and the brake and determine the stipulated maintenance intervals. Here, the
most important factors are the work as a result of the frictional force, the speed at the start
