2.1 Modularity of the converter system
Thanks to their modular design, the inverters can be used in a wide range of applications
with respect to functionality and power.
The following overview describes the inverter components, which you require for your
application.

Each SINAMICS G120 inverter comprises a Control Unit
and Power Module.
 The Control Unit controls and monitors the Power
Module and the connected motor in various control
modes (which can be selected as required). The
Control Unit is used to control the inverter locally or
centrally.
 The Power Modules are available for motors with a
power range of between 0.37 kW and 250 kW.
