the soware must rst of all be installed on the PC.

the voice recorder must be connected with the supplied USB cable to a USB in-
terface on the PC.

The steps towards installing and using the software »Convert« will be shown for the case of the operating
system Windows® XP. They are valid in a comparable form for the operating systems Windows®  and Vista™.
Deactivate the anti-virus programme possibly installed on your PC before installing the software »Convert«.
Otherwise, it could potentially cause problems with the installation. Absolutely remember to reactivate the
anti-virus programme after the successful installation of the software »Convert«. In a case of doubt, consult
the operating handbook for the anti-virus programme.
10.1 Installing the software »Convert« onto a PC
To install the soware:

Switch the PC on and wait until the operating system has booted.

Installation of the soware requires a minimum of  MB of free disc space on
the hard drive.

Place the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the PC to which you
wish to copy dictation recordings from the voice recorder.
Should the function »AutoPlay« be activated on your PC: On the PC monitor
a window opens automatically with the content of the CD-ROM.
If the function »AutoPlay« is not activated: Klick on »Start«, then on »My
Computer«. Subsequently, double-click on the CD-ROM drive in which the
CD has been inserted. On the PC monitor a window opens automatically with
the content of the CD-ROM.
