Time shift (staggered TV watching)
You can use the Time shift function to interrupt a running show and watch it at
a later time. The receiver records the show on the hard disc. The displayed
image is frozen so you can resume watching from this point onwards.
The recording through the Time shift function is not stored permanently
on the hard disc. Switching over or stopping the recording will erase the
Time shift recording. If you wish to store a recording permanently,
press the key (29).
The Time shift function has a capacity of maximum 90 minutes.
Press the key (32) while the show is running.
Picture-in-picture
If you have connected both tuners, you can use the Picture-in-Picture
function. After selecting the channels to be displayed, a small window is
inserted in which you can see the selected channel in parallel with the main
channel.
Press the
key (39) to enable the Picture-in-Picture function. The channel
list appears.
Select the desired channel that you would like to be shown in addition to the
main picture, by using the arrow keys up (12) or down (13) and press the
OK key (14). A small secondary screen appears.
If no channel inserts can be seen you can change the size of the
secondary screen by using the arrow keys up (12) or down (13).
If no channel inserts can be seen you can change the position of the
secondary screen by using the arrow keys left (10) or right (11).
You can use the key (40) to toggle between the main and secondary
screens. The displays are interchanged.
Press the key (39) to deactivate the Picture-in-Picture function.
Caution!
If you have connected only one tuner, this function is available to you only
within one transponder.
If you have connected both the tuners through a cable bridge, you can make
only a limited use of this function.
