3.4 Adjusting the swath width and the swath
curtain
STAR 850/26 T
The width of the swaths is adjusted from the driver’s
seat during the drive by moving the rotors with
hydraulics of the twoway-working cilinders.
With the rotor position the swath curtain is
automatically lowered into working position or lifted
into transport position.
STAR 720/22 T, STAR 650/20 T
The windrow width can be adjusted with the spindle (1).
The scale (2) indicates the working width of raking.
Adjust the left and right side equally.
The rake swath curtain automatically lowers into the
working position or lifts into the transport position with
help of the rotors.

Check if the swath is appropriate.

Deviations can be annulled by switching on the
hydraulics with twoway-working cilinders and
enlarging or shortening the distance between the
rotors.

Adapt the swath width to fodder
quantity:
–
Much fodder = big deviation
–
Few fodder = no deviation needed
–
Adapt the driving speed to the working
picture = clean swathing if the swath is
well formed.
