When a child wears a seat belt,
never let the shoulder belt
press on the child's back. If the
three-point seat belt is not worn
correctly, children can be
seriously injured. In the event
of a crash, the shoulder strap
cannot protect children.
Children will overshoot, which
increases the chance of head
and neck injuries. Children
may also slide under the crotch.
The force of the seat belt will
just act on the abdomen. This
