Damage to the inverter due to moisture and dust intrusion
If the inverter is fitted with an ESS and this is not plugged in or not properly plugged in during
operation, moisture and dust can penetrate the inverter. If the ESS is not correctly plugged in, the
ESS contacts may be subject to wear, or the ESS may detach from the socket. This can result in yield
loss and damage to the ESS.
Always plug the ESS in as follows:
• Firmly plug the ESS in until it is flush with the enclosure.
• Ensure that the gap between the ESS and the enclosure is no more than 1 mm.
Damage due to electrostatic discharge
Touching electronic components can cause damage to or destroy the inverter through electrostatic
discharge.
• Earth yourself before touching any components.
