WARNING
If the restraint system is malfunctioning, restraint system
components may be triggered unintentionally or may not
deploy as intended during an accident. This may affect the seat
belt tensioner or airbag, for example. This poses an increased
risk of injury or even fatal injury.
Have the restraint system checked and repaired immediately at
a qualified specialist workshop.
The 4 indicator
lamp on the overhead
control panel lights up.
The front-passenger front airbag has been disabled (Y page 41).

Enable the front-passenger front airbag.
The front-passenger front airbag has not been disabled and is
malfunctioning.
X
Do not use a rearward-facing child restraint system on the
front-passenger seat.

Do not allow passengers to travel on the front-passenger seat.

Consult a qualified specialist workshop.
