The device display and indicator lights on the front of the device.
If Status/alarm indicator illuminates solid green, therapy is being
delivered. If it illuminates solid yellow, attention and correction is
needed somewhere in the system.
Listen to your device to ensure it is turned on. A low puttering
sound indicates therapy is being delivered. In the case that it
sounds like the device is running quickly, this may indicate an air
leak in the system.
For an explanation of any device display messages, indicator lights or
audio signals, refer to the Alarms and Troubleshooting section of this home
healthcare user manual.
Battery operation
The RENASYS™ GO device runs when plugged into an electrical outlet,
or can run using its internal battery for up to 20 hours depending on the
therapy setting. If the bottom battery status indicator illuminates solid
yellow, plug the device into an electrical outlet to avoid the device turning
off during therapy. The device will operate while the battery charges.
RENASYS GO contains systems intended to prevent charging of the
battery at high temperatures. When charging at high ambient temperatures
(approximately 86°F/30°C), the device may suspend charging, therefore
full charge may not be achieved. In a worst-case scenario 50% charge
will still be possible (approximately 11 hours of therapy). In this scenario
‘Charging’ will stop being displayed on the display screen and ‘Battery Full’
on the display screen will not be reached. In this case, the device can be
used as normal while connected to mains power, but to fully charge the
battery it will be necessary to reduce the temperature of the device, for
example by removing the carry bag and/or relocating to a lower ambient
temperature.
In the event that the device is only partially charged due to high
temperatures, battery depletion warnings (low battery, critical battery, etc.)
will continue to be operable as normal even when operating from battery
power.
