COMMUNICATION
The Countis Ci system communicates via a JBUS/MODBUS
®
protocol invol-
ving a master/slave dialogue. Two dialogues are possible:
• the master communicates with a slave (Countis Ci) and waits for its response,
• the master communicates with all the slaves (Countis Ci) without waiting for
their response.
The communication mode is the RTU mode (Remote Terminal Unit) with
hexadecimal characters consisting of 8 bits.
NB:
• The integration time must not exceed
3 silences (the time taken to transmit
a character) for the message to be
processed.
• By selecting slave address 0, the
same message is transmitted to all
the Countis devices present on the
network (only for functions 6 and 16).
