4.12 - Seat belt and harness
The roll over bar with the seat belt or harness option
improves the go-kart safety in case of accident. It is very
important that safety systems is checked and maintained
regularly.

• Check the state of the belt (2) to detect the anomalies
(undone stitchings, chemical damages, slashs, worn
side).
• Check that all fixings are well tightened, and that the
seat belt parts are in a good state.
• Check that the retractor (3) run correctly:
- Yank the belt then release it to check that it roll up
completly.
- Yank the belt to check that it arrest the body in
case of shock. (be careful, the side of the belt is
edged).
• Check that the tongue (5) gets in the buckle correctly
and there are well maintained.
• Push the red buckle button to check that it unbinds the
tongue.

• Push the red buckle button to check that it unbinds the
tongue.
NOTES
 After an accident check the state of the belt and the
fixing before to let the go-kart run on the track.
 Check that the seat belt or harness is locked and that the
driver is well maintained in the seat.
WARNING
!
 Modify the seat belt or harness system may lead to a
serious or even fatal injury.
 Clean the belt with chemical product may modify the
efficiency of the belt, and lead to a serious or even
fatal injury.
 A seat belt or harness not locked may lead to a
serious or even fatal injury.
