Vigorously rotate the motor shaft in the desired direction.
The arrow rotates
clockwise:
when L1, L2, L3
motor terminals are
connected to L1,
L2, L3 phases (re-
spectively), the mo-
tor will rotate in the
same direction as it
was rotated during
the test.

counter-clockwise:
when L1, L2, L3 motor

during the test.
Note:
- When disconnected test leads are moved, they may induce voltages that result in indicating the di-
rection of rotation. Do not move the test leads during the test.
