• The camera is set to the playback mode. Press [] to change to the recording mode (page 33).
Anti-blur function does not work.
• The anti-blur fimction does not _ork _qwn ((_o_!appears on the displa).
• The anti-blur fimction may not work properly when shooting night scenes.
• Shoot afler pressing the shutter button half_ay down: do not press it fidly do_n suddenly.
Recording takes a long time.
• The NR slow shutter fimction is actix atcd (page 18). This is not a malfimction.
The image is out of focus.
• The subject is too close. Shoot in _ (iVlacro) recording mode. Make St,l-e to ?osition the lens
farther ,way from the subject than the shortest shooting distance, approximately 2 cm
( 13/16 inches) (W)/9/) cm (2 feet 11 1/2 inches) (TL when shooting (page 26).
• _ (Twilight mode), [] (Landscape mode) or _i:_i_(Fireworks mode) is selected in the Scene
Selection mode when shooting still images.
• lf?&_ (Advanced Sports Shooting mode) is selected in the Scene Selection mode and the
suhject is too close, lbcusing may be difficult.
• The Focus preset fimction is selected. Select the auto l\)cus mode (page 47).
• Confirn/that the [Conversion Lens] setting is correct/page 72).
• Refer to "If the subj,:ct is out of lbcus" on page 48.
Zoom does not work.
• You cannot use tile Smart zoom when the image size is set to [SM] or [3:2].
• You cannot use tile Digital Zoom when:
[Face Detection] is sex to [On].
?'&_(Advanced Sports Shooting mode) is selected in Ihe Scene Selection mode.
You shoot movies.
• You cannot change the zoom scale while shooting a movie.
• Confirm that the [Conversion Lens] setting is correct (page 72).
The flash does not work.
• The flash is set Io ('g (Flash forced off) (page 26).
• You cannot use Ihe fhtsh when: _"

I_O (High Sensitivity mode), _"_ (Advanced Sports Shooting mode), _ (Twilighl mode) or

Shooling movies.
• Set tile flash Io _ (F1 ish forced on) when the mode did is set Io M or when [] (L mdscape
mode), "_'_ (Beach mode), or _ (Sno_ mode) is selected in the Scene Selection mode
(page 26).
