Ensure the MASTER VOLUME control is not set to “VOL MIN” and that the muting function is off by pressing MUTING on the remote. For STR-DE595 models, verify the SPEAKERS button is correctly set for your speaker system. Also, make sure headphones are disconnected. If a short circuit has activated the protective device, turn off the receiver, resolve the short-circuit, and then turn the power back on.
