  Sound interruption or noise in your Sony Microphone system can occur if the transmitter and tuner are not set to the same channel. Ensure that both are using the same channel. Also, using the same channel for multiple transmitters can cause interference; assign a different channel to each transmitter. Ensure all transmitters are set to channels within the same channel group. If operating multiple UWP series packages, select channels within the same channel group (excluding group 00), and maintain at least a 2-channel interval (250 kHz) between them.

What to do if there is no sound from my Sony Microphone system?

  If there is no sound from your Sony Microphone system, first check that the channel setting on the transmitter matches the tuner. Next, confirm that the transmitter is turned on and that the RF indicator on the tuner is lit. Ensure the microphone input is selected on the transmitter, not the line input. If using an MB-X6/SRP-X500P, turn it off and on again if the tuner module was installed or uninstalled while it was powered on.

  If the batteries in your Sony Microphone system are draining quickly, the batteries may be exhausted and need replacing. If you're using manganese batteries, switch to alkaline batteries, as they last more than twice as long. Be aware that UWP series components used under cold conditions may also experience rapid battery drain.

What causes distortion in the sound from my Sony Microphone system?

  Distortion in the sound from your Sony Microphone system can be due to several reasons. If the attenuation level of the transmitter is too low, increase it by pressing the + button in attenuation level setting mode. Ensure that the transmitter and tuner are set to the same channel. If you're using headphones, make sure they have a stereo mini jack. Also, verify that the MIC/LINE input selector is correctly set to LINE if you are inputting a line output signal.
